  • Recover debt from Sundry Customers, such as Supplier deals, Property and Beauty customers per the agreed payment terms.
  • Identify unprocessed customer payments reflected on the banking report and apply cash accurately to customer accounts.
  • Timeous and proper communication to customers regarding outstanding debt, rejected queries, and payment plans.
  • Timeous escalation of queries and drive resolution of all short payment-related queries to the relevant Business units.
  • Timeous escalation of non and late payment to Business Unit management, customer and Line Manager
  • Responsible for the processing of all manual billing and excel uploads as received from various stakeholders.
  • All documents are filed and kept in accordance with WW policy and legal requirements.
  • Escalate risk and communicate any non-adherence to procedures and controls, to the Line Manager.
  • Foster and maintain a good relationship with the Debtors team, Business Units, and customers.
  • Ensure the daily banking report is extracted.
  • Ensure weekly debtor performance report is published.
  • Ensure the commentary for overdue is submitted on a monthly basis.
  • Submit a weekly forecast to the Treasury department.
  • Adhoc reporting as and when required by management.

Minimum requirements

FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Computer literacy – Oracle billing and receipting/Microsoft suite.

  • Numerical ability
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
  • Diploma in Accounting (6 month / intermediate stage) or equivalent
  • 2-year accounting reconciliation skill in (debtors) environment
  • 2-year debt collection skill
  • Oracle Finance system and Microsoft suite.
