Virtual Learning Moderator

GP Strategies are looking for a Virtual Learning Deliverer to be responsible for supporting the delivery of virtual learning solutions across a number of technical platforms, including Zoom and Webex. Manage the visual presentation and other technical elements required for the session and provide support to the Facilitator and learners to ensure a smooth learning experience for all.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Partner the Facilitator in the delivery of an outstanding learner experience. Proactively seek opportunities to improve learner interaction, involvement and engagement.
  • Quickly establish rapport and trust in a virtual environment to become the recognised point of contact for technical support for learners.
  • Clearly present, demonstrate and explain the interactive features of the platform to a non-technically minded audience.
  • Improve Learner experience and engagement by exploiting the full functionality of the platform, including (but not limited) to the management of screen set up, chat functionality, annotation and co-annotation of whiteboards and shared documents, screen sharing, polling and break-out rooms.
  • Deploy other software, such as Kahoot and Slido over the platform when necessary to support learner activities.
  • Simultaneously manage individual and collective Learner interaction, programme timing and Facilitator support whilst seamlessly administering the flow of activities.
  • Adapt in a fast paced and unpredictable environment, using judgement and knowledge of the platform(s) to anticipate and resolve unplanned technical challenges for the Learners, the Facilitator and yourself.
  • To ensure that the Equality and Diversity, Health and Safety and Quality Operating Policies
    and Procedures are adhered to within the area of responsibility and that any non-compliance is reported to your Manager
  • To support a culture that promotes teamwork and discourages divisiveness at all
    organisational levels.
  • To communicate with internal and external agencies, staff, customers, management and peers in a manner appropriate and professional to your position at all times.
  • To make decisions and implement actions, involving customers, employees, suppliers, partners and peers, which are in accordance with the values of the Company.

What we need

  • Experience of moderating / producing virtual learning delivery across a number of platforms, including Zoom and Webex.
  • Able to orchestrate a potentially complex range of on-line activities on behalf of the Facilitator to precise timelines, ensuring that no Learners are left behind.
  • Can creatively adapt in an unpredictable environment, using judgement and knowledge of the platform to anticipate and resolve unplanned technical challenges
  • Strong motivator of individuals and teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment & adapt quickly to change.
  • Proven time management and organisational skills.
  • Effective team worker with strong interpersonal skills and good stakeholder management awareness.
  • Good IT and general administration skills.
