We are focused on research, support and implementing integrated approaches to managing TB and HIV. Work Description: The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for assisting with running of Tests and administration of Samples sent to the Laboratory

Technical Work Responsibilities:
Receive labelled samples for processing
Data capture of samples in Lab Information Management System (LIMS) or Laboratory Data Management System (LDMS)
Administrative tasks
Monitor and control stock
Daily maintenance of equipment and temperatures
Assist with receiving and shipment of samples

Education
Grade 12 or equivalent

Experience:
Minimum of two years related experience and/or training: or equivalent combination of education and experience
Knowledge of principles of Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP), International Air Transport Association (IATA).

Requirements:
SA Citizen or valid work permit to work in South Africa
Working knowledge of MS office and laboratory database including LIMS/LDMS
Ability to work autonomously and under pressure
Willing to work overtime

Advantageous:
Driver’s License
Own Car
