SALARY: R 318 888.00 p.a. (All Inclusive Package)

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND COMPETENCIES:

  • National Senior Certificate plus 3 year degree / National Diploma in Administration or related field;
  • 2 years relevant administrative experience;
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task;
  • Advanced knowledge of writing official correspondence, reports, minutes, circulars, directives, etc;
  • .Must be able to work under extreme pressure
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Renders full secretarial function for the Governance and Legal Services office

Provides comprehensive support, administrative assistance and time management services;

Represents Office of Deputy Registrar: Governance and Legal Services office through excellent interaction and professional liaison with a wide range of persons within the University and external partners

Screens, prioritize and handle/or refer all enquiries including mail and email;

Plan and organize activities within the Deputy Registrar: Governance and Legal Services office which include attending to and drafting correspondence, invitations, processing and reviewing information and materials;

Plan and organize events including detailed co-ordination of any event, general and committee meetings, workshops and being responsible for the agendas and minutes

Develops and maintains effective systems for storage and retrieval of information and documents;

Manages and handle confidential information and materials to and from the Deputy Registrar: Governance and Legal Services Office;

Makes travel, accommodation and car hire bookings;

Processes, reviews and prioritizes all incoming information and communication, whether telephonic, electronic, written or any other forms;

Manages and monitors financial requirements within the Office of the Deputy Registrar: Governance and Legal Services office

Assists DC Coordinator with filing and arrange catering for student disciplinary hearing

Compile a register of vetted contracts together with completed LS1 Forms

Tracking legal documentation after final versions have been submitted for signature
