Through the Experiential Learners Internship Programme, MISA offers opportunities to students who require between 12 – 24 months of practical work experience.
The Department of Cooperative Governance (DCoG) through the Municipal Infrastructure Support Agent (MISA) has over the years demonstrated its unwavering commitment to critical skills development in South Africa.
MISA is a Schedule 3 government component of the DCoG, established in terms of Section 7(5) of the Public Service Act of 1994 (as amended), with the mandate to provide technical support and build technical capacity for municipalities to enhance their capability to undertake efficient planning, delivery, operations and management of municipal infrastructure.
Through the Experiential Learners Internship Programme, MISA offers opportunities to students who require between 12 – 24 months of practical work experience in order to complete their study programme as per the academic requirements in the following areas/disciplines):
- Civil Engineering
- Electrical Engineering
- Geographic Information Systems
- Environmental Management
- Town and Regional Planning
- Project and Construction Management
