Projects and Engineering Internships

This program offers five positions for individuals with a minimum NQF Level 6 qualification in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. Interns will gain experience in projects and engineering at locations including Mafikeng, Brits WTW, Vaalkop WTW, and Padda Junction Projects. This is a broad opportunity for aspiring engineers to work on real-world projects.

GIS Internship

One position is available for a GIS (Geographic Information System) intern. Applicants need a minimum BSc in Geomatics or an equivalent qualification. This internship will be based at the Brits Lab within the Projects and Engineering department, focusing on GIS applications.

Mechanical Engineering Internship

A single internship opportunity exists for Mechanical Engineering graduates. The required qualification is a minimum S4 Mechanical Engineering, National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent. The placement will be at Vaalkop WTW in the Water Services – Mechanical division.

Water Services Production Internship

This role is for individuals with a National Diploma in Water Care, Chemical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification. The internship is situated at Vaalkop WTW within the Water Services – Production department. It provides practical experience in the operational aspects of water treatment and management.

ICT Internship

Three positions are open within the Corporate Services – ICT Department. Applicants should hold a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or an equivalent qualification. These internships will be based across Brits Lab, Head Office, and Mafikeng/Far West, covering various aspects of information and communication technology within the organization.
