Available Apprenticeships
TotalEnergies has two main apprenticeships open for applications.
Millwright Apprenticeship
This program teaches mechanical and electrical maintenance in an industrial plant. Apprentices learn to fix and maintain machinery. They work in a real factory setting to build strong skills.
Instrument Mechanician Apprenticeship

About the Apprenticeship Programme
Candidates join the Lubricants Manufacturing Plant in Durban on Wharfside and Causeway Road. They get structured workplace training with experienced teams. The mix includes theoretical classes and practical work, plus logbooks and assessments. This setup builds a solid path to engineering jobs.
Key Responsibilities
Apprentices follow strict health, safety, and environmental standards. They wear proper personal protective equipment at all times. Daily tasks include helping with plant maintenance, attending training, and keeping work areas clean. They report hazards, fill out timesheets and logbooks, and may work overtime or shifts.
Minimum Requirements
You need a Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science. An N3, N4, N5, or N6 Engineering qualification in Mechanical or Electrical/Electronic fields also works. Less than three years of experience is preferred.
Additional Requirements
Be physically fit for the job. You must be okay working at heights like on tanks and platforms. Handling confined spaces, such as inside tanks, is part of it. The industrial environment means noise, heat, and heavy work.
