The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is offering exciting opportunities for TVET graduates and other individuals seeking valuable workplace experience in Limpopo Province. These programs, including Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements and internships, are designed to equip participants with practical skills in various government sectors. The SASSA TVET Work Integrated Learning and Internship Programme 2026 aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and professional application, providing a stepping stone for career advancement.

SASSA TVET Work Integrated Learning Programme

SASSA is providing Work Integrated Learning (WIL) placements for TVET college learners who have completed their N6 studies. These placements are crucial for obtaining a National Diploma and gaining essential hands-on experience. The program lasts for up to 18 months, offering a monthly stipend of R5,639.75.

Human Capital Management WIL Placements

Three positions are available for N6 Human Resources Management graduates. These roles are located in the Vhembe District (Reference Number: SAS LIM 01/2026), Mopani District (Reference Number: SAS LIM 02/2026), and the Limpopo Regional Office (Reference Number: SAS LIM 03/2026).

Facilities Management and Auxiliary Support WIL Placement

One position is open for N6 Public Management, Public Administration, or Business Management graduates. This opportunity is based at the Limpopo Regional Office and has the reference number SAS LIM 04/2026.

Finance WIL Placements

Two positions are available for N6 Financial Accounting or Financial Management graduates. These roles are located in the Sekhukhune District (Reference Number: SAS LIM 05/2026) and the Limpopo Regional Office (Reference Number: SAS LIM 06/2026).

Grants Administration WIL Placements

Two positions are available for N6 Operations Management, Public Management, Public Administration, or Financial Accounting graduates. These roles are situated in Waterberg, Mookgophong (Reference Number: SAS LIM 07/2026) and Capricorn, Blouberg (Reference Number: SAS LIM 08/2026).

SASSA Internship Programme

For graduates with degrees, B-Techs, or National Diplomas, SASSA offers a 24-month internship program. This initiative provides a monthly stipend of R7,860.50 and is an excellent way to gain professional experience within a government agency.

Information and Communication Technology Internship

One position is available for graduates with a Degree, B-Tech, or National Diploma in Information Technology. This internship is located at the Limpopo Regional Office with the reference number SAS LIM 09/2026.

Legal Services Internship

One position is open for individuals holding a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree. This internship is also based at the Limpopo Regional Office and carries the reference number SAS LIM 10/2026.

Fraud and Compliance Internship

One position is available for graduates with a Degree, B-Tech, or National Diploma in Forensic Investigation or Compliance Management. The location for this internship is the Limpopo Regional Office, with the reference number SAS LIM 11/2026.

Permanent Grants Administrator Posts

In addition to the WIL and internship programs, SASSA is also offering two permanent Grants Administrator positions. These roles are at Level 05 and are located in the Mopani District, Maruleng Local Office. The salary for these positions ranges from R237,453 to R279,708 per annum, excluding benefits.

Minimum Requirements for Grants Administrator

Applicants for the permanent Grants Administrator posts must possess a Senior Certificate or Matric. They also need an undergraduate qualification at NQF Level 6, recognized by SAQA. The qualification should be in fields such as Public Administration, Public Management, Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies, Commerce, Social Sciences, Social Security, Law, or Information Technology. Computer literacy is essential, and a valid driver’s license is an advantage.

All applicants must be South African citizens. For the WIL opportunities, TVET N6 graduates are eligible. For the internship positions, graduates with Degrees, Diplomas, B-Techs, and LLB degrees can apply. Internship applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
