Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this internship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Hold a BSc Honours degree with a focus on Radiochemistry or Nuclear Physics.
  • Have knowledge of operating radiation detection instruments.
  • Possess basic MS Office skills.
  • Have mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Demonstrate good communication and report-writing skills.

Knowledge of gamma-ray spectrometry, liquid scintillation analysis, or alpha-spectrometry will be advantageous. A basic understanding of radioactive decay processes, radiation interactions with matter, and radiation protection is also beneficial. Knowledge of radiochemical separation techniques and quality systems like Good Laboratory Practices will be an added advantage.
