Minimum Requirements

Other needs include a valid Code C driver’s license, medical and physical fitness, and the ability to swim. Avoid phobias like claustrophobia or fear of heights. Knowledge in fire and rescue helps, as does three months of prior internship experience. Be hardworking and self-disciplined.
Duties and Responsibilities
Interns will handle daily tasks from the Station Officer. This includes routine checks on vehicles and firefighting gear. You will clean and maintain equipment and report any faults.
During emergencies, assist senior staff in firefighting and rescue work. Fight grass, wildland, and building fires while protecting property. Perform control room duties and follow all commands on scene. Supervisors may assign extra tasks as needed.
