Programme Duration and Location

The internships are based at Ekurhuleni West TVET College’s campuses in Gauteng.

  • Management Assistant Trainee: This is an 18-month temporary contract. The position is based at the Boksburg Campus.
  • Project Management Intern: This is a 24-month temporary contract. The position is located at the Corporate Centre in Germiston.
  • Information Technology Internship Programme: This is a 24-month temporary contract. The position is also located at the Corporate Centre in Germiston.

Minimum Requirements

Each internship has specific minimum requirements that applicants must meet.

Management Assistant Trainee

  • N6 Management Assistant qualification.
  • Applicants who have already completed an 18-month internship should not apply.

Project Management Intern

  • Matric (Grade 12).
  • NQF Level 7 Bachelor’s Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Postgraduate Diploma in Project Management, or an equivalent qualification.

Information Technology Internship Programme

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • A Diploma or Degree in Information Technology.

Competencies Required

While not all competencies are listed for every role, the following skills are generally beneficial for these internships:

  • General administrative skills.
  • Good communication skills for interacting with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Computer literacy, including proficiency in office software.
  • Organizational skills to manage tasks and documentation.

  • A new Z83 form (effective from 1 January 2021).
  • A detailed CV with at least three contactable references and their email addresses.
  • Original certified academic record or transcript.
  • Original certified Matric certificate.
  • Original certified N4-N6 certificates (for Management Assistant).
  • Original certified copies of qualifications (for Project Management).
  • Original certified copy of your South African ID, both sides.

For Information Technology Internship Programme:

  • A new Z83 form (effective from 1 January 2021).
  • A comprehensive CV with at least three contactable references and email addresses.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be required to submit certified copies of:
  • Qualifications.
  • Academic records.
  • Driver’s licence, where applicable.
  • Identity document.
