Absa Group Limited is offering a valuable one-year internship opportunity for South African graduates interested in Industrial and Organisational Psychology. This programme is designed to provide Master’s students with the practical experience needed to become registered Industrial Psychologists. Programme Overview
The Absa Industrial and Organisational Psychology Internship Programme is accredited by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). It spans 12 months and focuses on developing practical skills across six key areas of the field. Interns will gain exposure to Organisational Psychology, Human Resource Psychology, Career Psychology and Employee Wellness, Testing and Assessment, Elective Project Work, and Professional Ethics.
During the internship, participants are required to complete 260 days of work. They will be supervised by both an internal Senior Industrial Psychologist at Absa and an external Industrial Psychologist from an academic institution. Progress will be monitored through logbooks, quarterly reports, and practical assignments.

Additionally, candidates must be registered as a Student Psychologist with the HPCSA. The internship requires full-time commitment in Johannesburg from February 2027 to January 2028.
