Programme Duration and Location

Minimum Requirements

The minimum requirements vary depending on the specific trade or field. Generally, applicants must meet the following criteria:

For Apprenticeships:

• Electrical: Full N2 Engineering qualification with relevant trade theory, Engineering Science, Mathematics, and an appropriate fourth subject. Alternatively, a SETA quality-assured technical trade theory qualification equivalent to NQF Level 3, a relevant NC(V) Engineering Certificate, Technical Grade 11, or a relevant N6 Certificate or National Technical Diploma.
• Plumbing: Similar technical or engineering academic requirements through N2, SETA NQF Level 3, NC(V), Technical Grade 11, N6, or National Technical Diploma pathways.
• Bricklaying: Applicable technical entry requirements through recognised engineering or technical study pathways.
• Motor Mechanic: Technical Grade 12 with Mathematics, a full N2 Engineering qualification with relevant trade theory, or N3 Engineering with specified subjects and Motor trade theory.
• Diesel Mechanic: Technical Grade 12 with Mathematics, full N2 Engineering with relevant trade theory, or N3 Engineering with Engineering Science, Industrial Electronics, Mathematics, and Diesel Mechanic Trade Theory.

For Experiential Learnerships:

• Applicants may come from universities, universities of technology, or TVET Colleges, depending on the specific programme requirements.
• Must be unemployed graduates or students requiring workplace experience.
