This internship programme is designed to provide recent graduates with valuable hands-on experience in various aspects of municipal finance. Over 24 months, successful candidates will be exposed to key financial functions. These include municipal accounting, budgeting, financial reporting, managing debtors and creditors, payroll administration, internal auditing, and supply chain management. The programme aims to develop the interns’ skills and knowledge in these critical areas.
Preference will be given to applicants from rural areas who live within the Gert Sibande District Municipality’s jurisdiction. This initiative supports local talent development within the municipality.
