Available Internship Opportunities
Human Resources Intern

Minimum Requirements for HR Intern:
- A Degree or National Diploma in Human Resources.
- A certified copy of your academic record showing results.
- Proficiency in at least two of the Western Cape’s three official languages, both in communication and writing.
- Computer literacy.
- Age between 21 and 35 years old.
- Must be a resident of the Laingsburg area.
The primary goal of this internship is to immerse the graduate in all aspects of the Human Resources Section within the municipality.
Financial Management Intern
Laingsburg Municipality is also seeking two interns for its Financial Management program. This role falls under the Finance and Compliance Services department. The position offers a remuneration of R100,000 per annum, with no additional benefits or allowances.
Requirements for Financial Management Intern:
- A BCom Degree, National Diploma, or equivalent qualification, with a preference for majors in Accounting.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
Responsibilities for Financial Management Intern:
Successful candidates will be involved in ensuring adherence to GRAP principles and budget procedures. They will also assist in developing statistical reporting modules, financial policies, and financial statements. Other duties include supporting the compilation of budgets, financial statements, and management reports. Interns may also be tasked with reconciliations, financial analyses, electronic data capturing, and general financial administration. There’s also a possibility of rotating through different departments during the internship period.
