Young people in the Mediterranean region have a chance to join the YES-MED Call for Participants 2026. This program focuses on youth empowerment through skills in employability, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. It targets the Social and Solidarity Economy to help create jobs and build stronger communities.

What is the YES-MED Project?

The YES-MED Project stands for Youth Employment in Solidarity – Mixing Experiences and Diversity. Seven partner organizations run it across the Mediterranean. The goal is to help young people aged 18 to 35 find better ways to join society and the economy.

This initiative tackles issues like job shortages and social needs. It uses training, travel, and real-world projects. In total, 120 participants will take part from September to October 2026.

Participating Countries

Youth from these six countries can apply:

  • Italy
  • France
  • Spain
  • Tunisia
  • Morocco
  • Lebanon

The program brings people together from these places. This setup builds skills in working across cultures and sharing ideas.

Main Objectives

YES-MED aims to boost young people’s place in society and work. Key goals include better job skills, starting businesses, and green practices. It also pushes for youth roles in Social and Solidarity Economy projects.

Participants learn to lead community efforts and connect with others worldwide. The focus stays on long-term change, like stronger networks and responsible innovation.

The Youth Mediterranean Empowerment Path

This is the main training part, called WP3. It picks 120 young leaders for hands-on learning. The path mixes online and in-person sessions.

Training Duration

Expect about 40 hours of work between September and October 2026. Partners design it to fit local needs and participant backgrounds.

Participants cover several skills:

Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE): Learn models that stress community good, inclusion, and ethics. See how they solve local problems.

International Cooperation: Build partnerships and understand global teamwork.

Digital Skills: Get better at tools for business, projects, and online work.

Environmental Sustainability: Study green business and community care for the planet.

Project Cycle Management: Master planning, running, checking, and fixing projects.

Business Model Development: Create ideas for social businesses that last.

Financial Literacy: Handle budgets and resources wisely.

Pilot Actions and Community Impact

After training, youth design their own projects in WP4. These can happen locally, nationally, or across borders. The aim is real change through youth ideas.

Projects spark community involvement and new ways to innovate. They spread skills to others and build lasting effects.

Transnational Youth Mobility Scheme

WP5 selects 24 top participants for travel. They visit other countries to work with groups.

This builds ties with youth workers, businesses, and organizations. It boosts talks between cultures and career growth. The result is a strong network for Mediterranean youth.
